One Week One Pattern

I have signed up for this challenge. Hosted by Tilly of Tilly and the Buttons fame! The idea is that for 7 days you wear something created from the same pattern.

I have decided to go with the Sewaholic  Pendrell blouse, as I have already made two and have another two in progress.

There are three versions to the pattern anyway and I am planning on making a few additions to others.  It should be fun.  I need work appropriate ones as well as more casual ones for the weekend.

I have an idea to make a Pendrell loosely based on Downton  Abbey’s  Lady Mary’s striped garden party dress. Including the lace overlay around the shoulders and a narrow belt. Still a concept in my mind at the moment, but I think it might work!

Another one is getting a scalloped collar thanks to Casey’s Elegant Musings. Yet another will have a pleat in the front, a la the Sorbetto top.

Then I thought of making one shorter (not to be tucked in) and have a scalloped hem edge. I have a piece of white eyelet fabric for that one.

That will leave me with one more!

  1. Oh I can totally see how that dress could inspire a Pendrell blouse. I bought the Pendrell pattern when I bought Renfrew but I haven't taken it out of the envelope yet.

I think Renfrew would need to be my OPOW, except... I really do like wearing dresses. I'd have to put some thought into turning it into a dress before joining in. Oh and time to meet the March 24th deadline. That's in short supply right now.

  2. I have the Renfrew as well and am looking forward to trying it all in all it's versions. I am sure it could be turned into a dress pretty easily. I have a purple dress that I have worn as part of Me Made/ Self Stitched months which is basically a long cowl neck t- shirt with a tie belt. Looking forward to seeing your Renfrew version!

  4. I almost never comment, but i did some searching and wound up here "One Week One Pattern".
And I do have a couple of questions for you if it's allright. Is it simply me or does it look like some of the remarks come across as if they are coming from brain dead visitors? :-P And, if you are posting at additional online sites, I would like to keep up with anything new you have to post. Would you list of the complete urls of all your public sites like your Facebook page, twitter feed, or linkedin profile?
