Sew Colette

For this sew along I think I am going to be that person who is always running after everyone else saying, "wait for me, wait for me"!

But better late than never, I have finished the Meringue skirt. It fits so nicely and I am happy with it. It will be a nice skirt for work. It is a bit see through, so I will make a quick slip rather than add a lining.

I used a brown fabric that has a linen look about it but is thicker. I know I bought it when we still lived in South Africa, so that means it must be over 11 years old! I used an invisible zipper as I am hooked after inserting one in my recently finished evening dress.

For the Pastille dress I purchased a green linen. Not a color I would normally choose but thought it would be lovely for the spring.

  1. I haven't finished my meringue yet either! I was feeling stressed about finishing on time, but I decided to take it easy and go at whatever pace I want. I'm glad to see I'm not the only one! :)

    Looks great on you!
