Cadence completed!

Finished my Cadence sweater and love it. Once I had got past the lace pattern it was plain sailing. I can't really sew while watching TV so knitting is what keeps me awake while watching my shows!

The finished article!

But of course as soon as I had finished the sweater, I was off to my local yarn store for more yarn! As blogged previously, I am sewing the Collette Patterns Lady Grey coat using the tailoring instructions from the amazing Gertie, at Gerties New Blog for Better Sewing. The sleeves of this jacket are mid-forearm length, so I need some long gloves. A quick search on Ravelry.com and I had a free pattern. So this should keep me busy for a while. I am so glad that I have re-sdiscovered knitting!!

Sock weight yarn

Never used such small needles before!

  1. It looks really good! I feel like I'm getting a sneak preview of mine, since the color is very similar. Good luck with the gloves!

  3. Thanks for the lovely comments. I am really happy with the way it turned out. Apart from scarves a few years ago it was ages since I had knitted, but am hooked again!

  4. I just love your Cadence! The colour is fantastic and looks so great on you!

Your gloves are going to be really pretty. I'm not quite brave enough to try gloves yet, but I'm working up to it. :)

  6. Your sweater looks wonderful! I'm trying to knit the same one, and I'm stumped on the lace pattern. I don't quite get how to shape for the sleeves and the body all at once with the two charts. Any suggestions for tutorials, or would you be willing to tell me how to orient this project? Is the place where the round ends the back of the project?

    1. Hi Marcy

I did this sweater as part of a Knit Along which was a great help.

See the link below for the lace chart and you will also be able to see the other posts.

Let me know how yours turns out. I am now doing an owl sweater!
